How to write it, step by step

  1. Join the letters without lifting your pencil: f, o, r, e, v, e and r.
  2. Watch the high joins (or and ve): after b, o, v or w, the next letter starts at the midline, not the baseline.
  3. Let the f drop below the baseline and loop back up through it.

Tips for each letter

f
Leaving off the lower loop. Cursive f goes above and below the line: a top loop and a bottom loop.
o
Dropping the ending to the baseline. Cursive o ends high, so the next letter starts from the midline.
r
Rounding the top so r looks like an i or an n. The small flat step at the top is what makes the r.
e
Making the loop too big, so e looks like l. The loop stays below the midline.
v
Dropping the ending to the baseline. v ends high, at the midline.
