Questions parents ask

What size lines suit first grade?

These sheets use 1/2 inch lines, so a whole sentence fits on one line. Most first graders write comfortably at this size by mid-year.

What are sight words?

Common words that do not follow simple spelling rules, like said, they and could. Children learn to read and write them by sight.
