December in cursive
This is how December looks in school cursive: 8 letters, and the parts to watch are that capital D does not join and be is a high join. Print the sheet below to practise it.

How to write it, step by step
- Write capital D, then lift your pencil: in school cursive, D does not join the next letter.
- Join the rest of the letters without lifting your pencil: e, c, e, m, b, e and r.
- Watch the high join (be): after b, o, v or w, the next letter starts at the midline, not the baseline.

Tips for each letter
- D
- Joining D to the next letter. Capital D stands alone in school cursive.
- e
- Making the loop too big, so e looks like l. The loop stays below the midline.
- c
- Making the hook too big, so c looks like an e or an a. Keep the top hook small.
- m
- Adding a fourth hump or losing one. Cursive m has three humps (three slants down); n has two.
- b
- Dropping the ending to the baseline. b ends high, at the midline, so the next letter starts from there.
- r
- Rounding the top so r looks like an i or an n. The small flat step at the top is what makes the r.
